Grant Opportunities

Made in Victoria

The Made in Victoria – Manufacturing Growth Program helps small-to-medium Victorian manufacturers invest in modern equipment, digital technology, and workforce up-skilling. Grants of up to $250 000 are available on a matched-funding basis to lift productivity, grow exports, and create high-value local jobs.

What the grant offers

  • Funding pool: up to $250 000 per project
  • Co-contribution: one-to-one (your business matches the grant dollar for dollar)
  • Eligible costs: advanced manufacturing equipment, robotics, Industry 4.0 software, energy-efficiency upgrades, lean implementation, workforce training linked to new tech
  • Project window: typically 18 months from contract execution
  • Assessment focus: economic impact, job creation, technology adoption, supply-chain benefits, alignment with Victoria’s Clean Economy and Advanced Manufacturing priorities

Who should apply

  • Victorian manufacturers with 10–200 FTE on payroll
  • Hold an eligible ANZSIC manufacturing code and a trading history of three years or more
  • Can demonstrate financial viability and provide matched cash funding
  • Have a shovel-ready project that will start within 90 days of contract signing

Why it is worth your time

  • Accelerate cap-ex – halve the out-of-pocket cost of critical equipment or digital upgrades
  • Boost competitiveness – adopt Industry 4.0 processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput
  • Create skilled jobs – grant covers associated training for new or existing staff
  • Strengthen supply chains – position yourself to supply defence, med-tech, renewables, or agri-food sectors within Victoria
  • Leverage future funding – a successful Made in Victoria project strengthens future bids for federal Modern Manufacturing or ARENA programs
