About

Grant writing, done by the person you actually talk to

Grant Savvy is a Melbourne grant writing consultancy run by Jake Liberman. No account managers, no handoffs. The person who scopes your application is the person who writes it.

About Grant Savvy

Built for businesses too busy to chase funding

Grant Savvy helps Australian businesses and not-for-profits find and win government grants. The work spans federal and state programs, R&D tax incentives and tender submissions, with a focus on manufacturing, clean technology, food and packaging, and early-stage commercialisation.

Small by design. Being independent means faster turnaround, direct access to the writer, and pricing that scales with the opportunity rather than a large firm's overheads. Every engagement starts with an honest eligibility read: if a grant isn't worth pursuing, you'll hear that first.

The track record: more than $45 million in competitive funding secured across federal and state programs, for more than 65 Australian businesses and not-for-profits.

Who we work with

SMEs that need a professional in their corner, not a call centre

Grant Savvy works with small and medium businesses across manufacturing, health, food and beverage, technology, tourism and consumer goods. Most don't have a grants team, and don't want a generic template. They want someone who understands their business, tells them straight whether a program is worth chasing, and writes the application personally.

About Jake

Jake Liberman, Founder

Jake started in R&D tax incentives at Bulletpoint, then moved into medtech commercialisation at Inner Maven and regulatory compliance at Lancaster Legal before founding Grant Savvy. That mix of technical, commercial and legal experience is what makes an application hold up under assessment.

He holds a Bachelor of Biomedicine and is completing a Juris Doctor at Melbourne Law School. It shows in the fine print: eligibility, contract terms and compliance obligations get the same attention as the pitch.

Jake is based in Melbourne and works with clients across Australia.
